PictPath ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

Location Data Collection

🗺️ PictPath collects and uses your precise location (GPS) data to provide trip tracking features.

How We Use Your Location Data

  • GPS Track Recording: To draw your travel route on an interactive map
  • Photo Geo-tagging: To associate each photo with its geographic location
  • Trip Statistics: To calculate distance traveled, average speed, and trip duration
  • Map Display: To show your location and route using OpenStreetMap
  • Trip Sharing (Optional): If you choose to share a trip, location data may be included

What We Do NOT Do With Your Location

  • We do NOT track your location when you are not recording a trip
  • We do NOT sell or share your location data with advertisers
  • We do NOT use your location for user profiling or tracking
  • We do NOT upload your location to servers without your explicit action

Photos and Videos

Photos and videos you take within the app are:

  • Stored locally on your device by default
  • Tagged with GPS coordinates for map display
  • Only uploaded if you explicitly choose to share a trip

Account Information (Optional)

If you create an account for cloud sync, we collect:

  • Email address (for authentication)
  • Display name (optional)

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Your trip data is only shared when:

  • You explicitly choose to share a trip via a link
  • Required by law

Data Storage

All data is stored locally on your device by default. If you use optional cloud features:

  • Trip data may be stored on Supabase servers using industry-standard encryption
  • Shared trips are automatically deleted after 30 days
  • You can manually delete your data at any time

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data at any time within the app
  • Delete any trip, photo, or all app data
  • Stop location tracking by ending the trip or revoking permissions
  • Export your trip data using standard device features
  • Delete your account and all associated data
  • Remove all data by uninstalling the app
